The newest title 'Need For Speed' has got some some rather poor reviews, but I personally don't see the problem with it.
I got the game a couple of days ago haven't stopped playing it! With the brilliant 'Most Wanted' title, and then the poor 'ProStreet', the 'Need For Speed' range needed a lift. And I believe that this latest 'Need For Speed' game is that lift.
The game starts pretty suddenly, part way through the first movie scene you get dropped straight into the action, so a quick tip, make sure you're not drinking while this happens like I was.
Overall the game is alot like the previous title, 'Most Wanted', with many chases to escape the cops, plus with many high speed street races.
However, the thing that makes this new game better than 'Most Wanted' is the amazing graphics and new cars. With a new set of cars including the Pagani Zonda F, Mclaren F1 and the amazing Bugatti Veyron, you can race across the streets at a lightening speed.
Although the graphics and storling to the game are great, there are a couple of downsides to the game. Firstly, the AI of the game is not brilliant. Within all races there are some drivers that go for the win, and then there are the annoying ones that simply take you out by smashing you into a wall. Most of the time during a tough race, you will end up restarting and cursing alot at the annoyance that is the AI.
Although the game has it's downsides, the general play of the game is awesome, it's a mix of 'Need For Speed: Most Wanted' and 'Burnout Paradise', and both of those games were brilliant. I can only advise than when EA come to make their next 'Need For Speed' title, they dedicate a little bit more time on the AI. Overall I would give the game 8.5/10
